BOXX Self Storage

Tree Real Estate exclusively advised the debt funders of several entities part of the overall BOXX Self Storage / BOXX Opslagverhuur Group. We refer to Corporate Finance cases. In the end Tree Real Estate co-operated with the so-called Stichting Certificaathouders and with curator Certa Legal in a joint effort off market sale process of BOXX-owned Properties. As a result, October 2024, 3 Properties were sold, transacted and proceeds were paid out to the debt funders accordingly. Tree Real Estate sold Amersfoort and Almere in a one-pack deal to the Hagedoorn Bouw Group. Hagedoorn will use the Properties for its own business. The Zoetermeer asset was eventually sold to Storage Share / Minerva Vastgoed. Storage Share also took over the leased BOXX entities and locations in a package deal with the curator. As a result of the ca. EURO 5 million Property Sales proceeds, the certificaathouders of Zoetermeer, Almere and Amersfoort received between 86-105% of their original invested amount together with all outstanding interest repaid at closing.
